The steep mountainsides around Cali, Columbia are very challenging locations to construct oil wells. BP found 18-inch Multi-Flow to be the answer to their drainage problems both along access roads and on the mountainside drilling sites. Pound for pound Multi-Flow provided more surface area and water carrying capacity than any other product. This was vital because all materials had to be transported to the site by helicopter.

The installation technique was definitely not “textbook” but the results were just what BP was looking for. Effective drainage continued far beyond the construction process and continues into the maintenance phase.
